Compassion Support Worker - Temporary (FT / PT / Bank)

Do you enjoy supporting people as they develop healthy, independent living skills, taking a journey alongside them as they deal with issues in their lives which have prevented them from doing this.
As an anti-poverty charity Vineyard Compassion are employing a TEMPORARY Compassion Support Worker for a period of 6 months (may be extended) in either a FULL TIME, PART TIME or BANK capacity.
The Support Worker will provide services to support the emotional, mental, and social wellbeing of clients experiencing difficulties further impacted by issues of poverty. Working closely with fellow team members as part of the Compassion Support team they will support the development and increase the effectiveness in service delivery.
This will take the form of a shared responsibility as a part of a team in the delivery of the Open Door (community drop-in within a café environment) through a team of volunteers and staff in responding to a range of needs presented from the clients who engage. This will include meeting crisis needs through our provision projects (Foodbank, Clothing Bank, Fuel Support etc), through to helping to empower clients in their journey towards wholeness, stability, and recovery.
The Support Worker will also carry a case load in the delivery of tailored support services through the RESET (Social Supermarket) and wider Compassion Support, co-creating tailored support plans based on the identified needs, strengths, and opportunities. This will involve one to one direct work and group work settings with clients, and will include the mentoring, supervision, and direction for volunteers who will deliver support services to the community. This role will have a multi-agency approach and as such will require liaison with others in the statutory, voluntary and community sectors.
