Behind every number is a story: celebrating the launch of our 2025 Impact Card
As we share our 2025 Impact Card, we’re taking a moment to celebrate what has been made possible this year through the compassion of our team and a community that continues to show up for one another.
Together, 3,580 people were supported through 14,618 sessions. Behind every number is a person and a story of complex needs and challenges. Our goal here at the Hope Centre is to help change those stories by meeting some of the needs and showing we care.
One of those stories is Jack’s.
When Jack* first connected with Vineyard Compassion in 2023, life felt overwhelming for him. He was struggling with his mental health and feeling isolated. Through steady support through our counselling service to practical help with food and finances, he slowly began to rebuild stability and confidence.
Step by step, things began to change for Jack. By 2025, not only was he in a stronger place himself, but he was giving back as one of our volunteer team at our Coffee Bar. All the while he was learning and finding a renewed sense of belonging.
Reflecting on his journey, Jack shared:
“It’s a great way to gain confidence and routine while learning new skills… there’s no judgment, just encouragement to grow.”
Today, Jack is looking ahead with optimism and exploring employment opportunities as he continues to build on his progress.
Stories like Jack’s sit behind this year’s Impact Card. These stories, where people find recovery and new hope, are the reason why we come to work and volunteer every day. We truly believe that lives can be changed, and people can find new hope.
