Celebrating Community at Pearl Beauty’s Birthday Bash
What an event! A huge thank you to Elanna and all our friends at Pearl Beauty for inviting us along to their recent fantastic birthday bash. From start to finish, the atmosphere was filled with laughter, celebration, but also a real sense of community.
We were made to feel so welcome, and it was a privilege to share a little about the heart of Vineyard Compassion and the work we do every day to support people across the north coast. Even with a broken toe, our Fundraising Manager Tori bravely took to the floor to share some real-life experiences and about the difference compassion and practical help can make in the lives of those who are struggling. Tori shares:
“It was a real privilege to be part of the Pearl Beauty fundraiser this August and to witness how a local business can mobilise its platform to support the community in such a meaningful way. The event was beautifully put together - from the vendors and glam stations to the raffle and refreshments (and of course the memorable balloon arch!), but what stood out most was the heart behind it all.
Every ticket sold and every raffle entry represented someone in our community who will benefit from the support raised that evening. It was encouraging to see guests not only enjoying the event but also engaging with our work at Vineyard Compassion - asking questions, signing up for more information, and showing genuine interest in how they could help.
Pearl Beauty showed that fundraising doesn’t have to be formal or corporate to be effective. When businesses lead with generosity and purpose, they create space for real impact, and this event was a brilliant example of that.”
The generosity in the room was incredible. Between ticket sales and some very happy raffle prize winners, an amazing £2,500 was raised to support our work. That’s money that will go straight back into helping local families and individuals in need.
A special mention goes to Considered Co Zero Waste & Refill Store and the Marine Hotel Ballycastle, whose brilliant prize donations made the raffle such a highlight of the evening.
We’re so grateful to everyone who came together to celebrate but also support our work. Events like this remind us that community really can change lives.
