School Uniform Stamp Scheme 2023

Good news for parents and carers!

We are once again launching our popular School Uniform Stamp Scheme, aimed at easing this annual burden on local families. As regular stamp collectors will know, the scheme provides parents and carers with a practical solution to alleviate the financial strain associated with buying school uniforms, a significant expense that can cause anxiety for many households.

As we race towards the summer holidays, parents often find themselves dreading the inevitable task of buying expensive school uniforms. This year this already substantial pressure has been intensified by soaring food, fuel, and heating costs, placing unprecedented burdens on the families of the North Coast.

Provisions Coordinator, Melanie Gibson, shared her thoughts, stating, "The School Uniform Stamp Scheme is one way parents and carers can help to spread the cost of primary and post-primary uniforms. This scheme is our way of providing support to parents and carers to budget for this expense in a straightforward and practical way."

Vineyard Compassion is thrilled to once again be collaborating with local businesses, S&T Moores and Heart & Home Coleraine, to implement the School Uniform Stamp Scheme. The initiative is open to anyone within the Causeway Coast & Glens region.

Melanie continued, “The scheme couldn’t be easier. Parents and carers can buy savings stamps from Vineyard Compassion. When it comes time to buy school uniforms, parents and carers should take their stamps to S&T Moores or Heart & Home, and they can be used as payment for the items. Each stamp costs £5 and can be purchased from The Hope Centre, 10 Hillmans Way, Coleraine BT522ED, from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.”

We are committed to addressing the challenges faced by families in the community and remain dedicated to supporting parents and carers as they strive to provide for their children. Through the School Uniform Stamp Scheme, we aim to make a tangible difference in the lives of families by reducing the financial burden associated with school uniforms.
